The Mommybabe Show

Manila, Philippines — Finding the perfect holiday gifts for loved ones can be challenging for some people. Well, gift giving doesn’t come with no pressure since we only want to give our loves ones what’s best for them.

If you’re still looking for the ideal presents or rather need some inspiration, Filipina singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre shares her holiday gift ideas that are perfect for all ages and for every special person in your life!

Making it a merrier Christmas season, Home Credit recently launched The Great 0% Interest Festival, so every shopper can check out items from almost 10,000 partner stores nationwide. Customers can choose from more than 50,000 products available through Home Credit that they get at 0% interest until January 31, 2023.

Are you ready? Check out what’s in Moira’s shopping list this holiday season!

Gifts for learning and entertainment

Now is the time to reward hard-working children and inaanaks the gadgets they deserve. Gifting them the latest devices can help them not only study hard, but also enjoy little play time in between to maintain that school-life balance. Not to mention, in the new normal way of learning, smartphones, laptops and tablets, and accessories such as noise-canceling headphones have proven to optimize students’ educational experience, whether for physical classes and especially in hybrid learning.

New NBA season just began last month and this means you may find your dads and brothers with their eyes glued on screens. Investing in a high-quality smart TV at home can be an amazing present for sports fans in the household, as the whole family spends their time at home in the spirit of togetherness during the holidays. To top this off, gifting ate or bunso superb-quality Bluetooth speakers lets everyone party or just chill, anytime and anywhere.

Top tech brands to name a few – OPPO, realme, vivo, Samsung, Xiaomi, Acer, Apple, Huawei, and Asus all offer these gadgets that make the perfect study and play buddy. Not to worry, these brands and other Home Credit’s partner stores nationwide are part of the 0% interest festival for the best deal that you can get this season.

Presents for convenience and healthy living

Inverter technology has been quite an innovation that parents fancy for household appliances. Choosing inverter items over traditional appliances helps one save on energy and cost at home. This season of giving, gifting parents the latest appliances that would guarantee convenient living at home will surely have them enjoying the holidays and beyond.

Inverter refrigerator and air-conditioner are top choices for you to consider! As moms love spending time in the kitchen and making snacks for their families, with a cool and cost-efficient refrigerator in place they can keep their grocery foods in a safe storage to ensure the quality of each item.

While you’re at it, why not get an inverter air conditioner for the family so they can enjoy the cool room temperature during family reunions? An air conditioner will definitely be appreciated in a tropical weather country like the Philippines plus it is also environment-friendly and has lower power consumption.

Another important household appliance is owning a good quality washing machine. Give your titas a washing machine to help them save time by just simply putting their clothes on it, turning on the power and choosing their preferred cycle. It is more ideal than doing their laundry manually, a good way to show how you value their convenience.

Home workouts saw an increase in demand during the pandemic. Surprise your fitness enthusiast sibling or significant other by gifting them a punching bag, dumbbells, yoga mat or go big and fulfill their home gym dream by gifting them with an indoor cycling bike or treadmill as a present this Christmas. Having these fitness equipment at home can let them maximize their workouts at home, to keep them fit and healthy.

Get these home appliances and fitness equipment from Home Credit’s retail partners such as SM Appliances, Robinsons Appliances, Abenson, FC Home, Home Along, AllHome, Emcor, and Automatic Centre.

Curated holiday presents for a more personal touch

Looking for a more creative option for holiday gifting? Try creating your very own holiday gift package! For your coworkers who just had a baby, put in some nice items for infants, toys and clothing in a ribbon-tied box for the complete Christmasy feel. And for the BFFs, you can collect some new shades of lipstick, tag along some trendy accessories and perfume in a cute tote bag or basket for a well-thought out present.

Through Home Credit’s Shopping Basket, customers can visit its partner stores and shop for these varieties of goodies that they can curate in bundles for Php 3,000 minimum worth of items. Shoppers can get them through a monthly installment plan now with 0% interest.

With the rising COVID-19 case in the country, our home is still the safe haven for me and my family. That is why I always maintain our "Home Protocol". Aside from limiting our exposure outside our homes, I always make sure that whenever we get inside our door and car I always spray or rub my hands with a disinfectant.

As a mom, I am always the assigned person to run the errands and make sure that I disinfect myself and the things I bring home like groceries and stuff.

Brownies with Potatoes? A New Favorite!

I always love adding a twist to every meal I serve to my family. This pandemic taught me to maximize whatever is in our pantry. This also made me exert a little “extra” effort in terms of creativity, since my family misses going out and dining in a cafe or a restaurant.

Who does not love sweet and soft brownies to end a lovely dinner? And how about adding potatoes into it? Fascinated?

This whole read is all about how I made everybody’s favorite brownies using potatoes. Yes, potatoes! I am excited to share with you the whole experience so you can also create your version in the comfort of your home.

Potatoes Everywhere

Being a mom means evolving from breastfeeding to the introduction of solid foods to your child. One of the most popular baby foods moms always recommend is the potato. Be it boiled, stewed, roasted, or mashed! It is undeniably one of the easiest baby foods to prepare.

Did you know that the potato is “fat-free, sodium-free and cholesterol-free”? It is also packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals like vitamin C, potassium, protein, and fiber. This nutrient-dense vegetable is a wonderful addition to our diet and a good substitute for rice to help with weight management. If you want to know more about its many healthful benefits, do check out www.potatogoodness.com

Creating dishes with vegetables, especially for kids, may be tricky, but potatoes are just so versatile that you can add it to just about any meal. What makes them more appealing is that they are affordable and readily available in markets everywhere.

Potatoes are an excellent extender for dishes like Caldereta, Menudo, and Afritada. Don’t forget other yummy snacks made from spuds like spiral fries, flavored potato sticks, mojos, and even balls!

No Trick, Just Potato Treats

There’s more to potatoes than just savory treats. You can actually make delicious desserts like brownies, smoothie, doughnuts, croissants, or even brioche, using the humble potato.

I have recently discovered U.S. dehydrated potatoes, and how adding it to your recipe improves the overall flavor and texture of your sweet and savory dishes.

What are dehydrated potatoes? Simply put, they are real potatoes with just the water removed. They deliver all the flavor, nutrition, and versatility of potatoes in a more convenient package – and are the perfect ingredient for everything from soups and salads to main dishes and desserts.

One of the recipes I tried using dehy potato is Chef Miko Aspiras’ brownies. My version is covered with melted chocolate making it extra mouth-watering!

It’s quite simple to make. Check the full recipe below.

Choco-Bathe Fudge Brownie

Ingredients

30 Grams U.S. Dehydrated Standard Potato Granules
80 grams of Cocoa Powder
350 grams White Sugar
4 grams Iodized Salt
2 grams Baking Powder
5 grams Espresso Powder
150 grams Whole Eggs
227 grams Butter. Melted
60 ml Oil
10 ml Vanilla Extract
88 grams Dark Chocolate Chip (optional)
1 cup melted chocolate

Procedure:

1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius.

2. Prepare your desired cake molder, cake ring with foil or you can just have a cake/brownies foil containers. Spray canola oil non-stick spray or you can lightly brush butter or oil on the cake pan.

3. Sift together the dry ingredients (except the sugar) including the U.S. Dehydrated Standard Potato Granules.

4. Mix into a big metal bowl the eggs, vanilla extract, butter, oil, white sugar until fluffy, fold in the dry ingredients.

5. Add the chocolate chips (or nuts), if available.

6. Pour your mixture into the cake pans or cake ring, bake for 30-45 mins depending on the depth of your pan.

7. Cool down, remove it from the pan or the cake ring.

8. Slice it into cubes or triangles.

9. Pour the melted chocolate.

10. Serve with a well-brewed coffee or hot milk.

The Potato Verdict

It may sound cliche and repetitive, but isn’t it amazing that you can make such a delightful dessert with potatoes? My family loves the brownies, and they were devoured in minutes!

I can’t wait to see you make your potato recipe using U.S. potatoes. Check out my social media for details. The best recipe will receive a HUGE SURPRISE!

Where to find U.S. Potatoes

You may be wondering where you can get U.S. potato products. They’re available at the following:

U.S. dehydrated potatoes – baking supply stores or message Potatoes USA Philippines on Facebook and Instagram.

U.S. frozen potatoes – frozen aisle in groceries nationwide; for top quality fries, make sure the label says they’re from the U.S.

U.S. fresh or table-stock potatoes – not available year-round, check the produce section of the supermarket near you.

Me and Ms Ms. Kristine Ivy Granada- Aglosolos

Motherhood demands me more work at home and less time for my self-care duties. One beauty discovery that I will forever grateful for is Beautederm.

I got a very busy Saturday last week and one thing I love the most is meeting famous actors and actresses of this generation. Who would have thought I will be meeting Jane Oineza, Sylvia Sanchez and her daughter Ria, with Hashtag Ryle, Ken Chan , Rita Daniela, Enchong Dee, and Anne Feo.

The New Gateway of Beauty

Tres Jolie Davao By Beautéderm is the newest baby of Beautéderm Corporation owned by the power couple, Mr. and Mrs. Aglosolos. They made a great match to build a dream. Tres Jolie Davao gathered Davao City's vloggers, bloggers and influencers to enjoy the day with the ambassadors and ambassadress of the well-known beauty product last Saturday, March 7,2020.

The new beauty nook houses the complete range of their beauty products and cosmetics for men and women. From their beauty soaps, creams, my favorite all in one cream (it is called  Barely There), facial wash, tints and many more.

Beautéderm and its People

Who would have thought that I can be one of the "feedbacks" how good this product line is. One thing the product can really promise its users is "IT WILL BE WORTH IT.' Based on my personal experiences, the authorized sellers are with permits and have to be acknowledged by the company. This means that the products are legit, trusted and confident.

The Grand Opening last Saturday was lead by Ms Rhea Anicoche Tan , the CEO and owner of  Beautéderm and the owners of Tres Jolie Davao By Beautéderm , Ms. Kristine Ivy Granada- Aglosolos and her husband Dwight Aglosolos, with Kharnelia Lariosa-Edquila (Davao Regions Exclusive Distributor) and Jayvee Tyron Uy, Governor of Davao De Oro.

What makes this product different?

  1. IT IS SAFE FOR BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS. We,  breastfeeding moms always check the label. If this is safe for mommies or not. If this can affect our milk supply? Or the weirdest thing I asked was, "Does this smell foul for babies?' The answer is NO. This is safe even for pregnant women, but I recommend not using any rejuvenating items when you are expecting as the little bump will give you lots of hormonal changes and your skin is one of the visible pieces of evidence for it.
  2.  IS THIS CHEAPER OR EXPENSIVE? The travel set is one of the best sets I can endorse to you. The little pouch houses a bottle of toner, papaine bar soap, three-step night cream combo (3 canisters) and a day cream. This set lasts 7-10 days and visible results in your 4th day of use.
  3. IN DEMAND PRODUCT. The company responds well to demand and supplies to the market satisfactorily. Beautéderm Corporation aims to give affordable, great quality and in-demand beauty products and makeup essentials to every Filipina and even around the world.

Revolutionizing Beauty Practices to Every Filipinas

The title of this article depicts Tres Jolie Davao By Beautéderm well. It is now opening its gate to every woman and man who wants to try the magic of  Beautéderm. At the end of the day, every one of us wants to feel the confidence of going out without make-ups or the fancy feeling of maybe meeting someone along the way home without the worries of looking stressed.

2020 Beginner's Pack! Excess of 2019 Materials!

Are you searching for the best planner for you, mom? Sticking with the budget? You got to finish reading everything here!

"Before discovering the word "planner," I've been a fan of "Scrapbooking." It all started from my late high school days when I learn to reuse previous projects to complete another one. Living below the average salary, my mom has no extra funds to support my materials like stickers, stamps, washi tapes and etc. But as a child who really wants to push a successful compilation of colorful pages, I decided to reuse and recycle my sisters' excess materials and old projects found in our cabinets."

As a millennial mom, nothing new with waking up seeing a bunch of planner moms on my Facebook or Instagram newsfeed. Even my Pinterest feeds show lots of it! I have tried a dated planner, but it never worked. (for me? lol!) I tried checking some planners from popular coffee shops, I even got two for free, but I end up giving them to my friends!

As I go back to my cabinet, piles of loose Kraft papers, washi tapes bought from the "mine all you can" thread of a planner group, stamps I purchased last year, and the pens gifted to me last Christmas. I realized that it can be my "dream" planner.

There are nothing wrong with buying expensive planners and some craft pieces, but if you can just save that cash for other things that are on top of the priority list, you can still create the best planner for you by doing it yourself or what they call "DIY."

Should we need a bunch of washi tapes?
Should we use expensive pens?
How about stickers? Is it really needed?

Black Gel Pens! For grocery list to planners! Why not!

This first part of the "Junk Journal's for Mom's " will give you a checklist of the best tips, cheap materials, and nearest stores that you will be amused how affordable their prices are!

THE MAIN PAGES: Materials and Papers(Leaves)

  • Kraft Papers can be bought from 50 pesos to 120 pesos per 100 pages (A5 Size). I chose A5 and the one which is not less than the size of 3x3 sheets because it fits the pocket of my bag!
  • Planner Groups are your best friends! I bought a handful of craft materials for the price of 250 from a "mine all you can" thread!
MY PAPER CLIPS CLIPS AND CLIPS!

  • I used clips! Multipurpose! I exceptionally reuse this for budgeting, to sort bills and attached it to the receipt! WOAH!
  • I use a refillable gel pens in writing!
  • I am not a fan of too many colors on some days. You can really rely on this when everything is messy, or you are in a hurry! A black gel pen is a staple!
  • Washi Samplers is love! I am so lucky to catch new designs and prints because of buying these samplers! PLUS! They are cheaper! (Especially from a destash thread!)

I bought this for less than  100 pesos last year! Woot woot!

CHEAP FINDS! WHERE TO GO?

  • Shopee is indeed one of the most online popular marketplaces where some planner girls and moms binge scan! You can even cart the lowest price during their Flash Sales!
  • If you are near to any Expressions shops, you can easily pick up great finds! (I bought 70% of my new materials there last year! Lol!)
  • Magazine shops, your neighborhood seamstress, and your artist friends can give you their excess materials or their cut-outs! I love collecting a small bit of some corner laces!

There can be lots of ways to renew yourself in crafting and creating the best planner that suits your taste. And building it with your own hands without draining you lots of money is better.

Never be afraid of starting your own planner journey, we can do it!

How about you mom? What money-saving planner tips you got there?#

Stigmata of The Holy Ghost
(My Personal Favorite!)

This first painting above knocks me out. The second I snap a look at it, I saw myself. I saw my child.
That God can be one of us. He can be any of us.
Walking down the memory lane, I always see my father teaching us how to write and draw. The feeling always went back every time I visit an art exhibit or a museum. I always love colors, forms and interesting images made by points or dots.

Last Thursday is one of the most refreshing events I ever attended as a blogger mom who was an artist on stage. Seeing paintings and artworks hanged on every panel amuses me. As I have been surrounded by a bunch of artists that very moment, I realize that every art or painting they put up is a story made of life.

The Birth of  Art de Triomphe

"It was just a dream. And now I met these people who share the same ideas, same vision and courage, we took the chance." That is what Ma'am Bernadette Gular said to me. As she opens her home to be the haven of these artists to share their creations with the public. After more than two decades of living away from the city, she went back and reconnect with some people at Philippine Women's College. Then she met a few people, including Peter Amaya, who was also working in the said school at that time. Then they started creating small steps of bringing back classism to the people of today. As they share the same advocacy and dedicated everything to God. They had their soft opening last October 2019, and just this January 16, 2020, they launched it to the public.

Kristo 2020: Unto Rebirth in Mindanao

As Ma'am Bernadette started making this vision come true, her colleagues Salvador J. Ching already conceptualized Kristo 2020 since 2005. Collaborating with him gives her a spark to make a move. Teaming up with the best artists, including Mr. Rodney Yap, who also tap artists outside the city. The launching was joined by Maru Aihara, Peter Amaya, Shaira Ancheta, Glenn Baga, Bienvenido Bones Bañez Jr., Romilo "Do Dong" Caballero , Johnny Cabañero, Bryan Cabrera, Arvin Cantalejo, Nil Capinianes, Reneboy Chua, John Renzo Daquigan. Tristan Rae Daran, Romeo Dumuk III, Gemarie Gamas, Mean Tan Guinoo, Bernadette Gular, Toym Imao, Noby Juno Jr, Gabrielle Macavinta, Omar Noble, Isang Ondon, Dominador Pamisa Jr. , Imelda Pangan, Lito Pepito, Joaquin Sala, Rob Tanedo, Lawrence Christopher Tulio, Dominic Turno, and Lino Velchez.

The exhibit comprises a line up of paintings and artworks that mesmerize the audience with the image of Jesus Christ and also tells a deep story. Each artwork is not just a mere painting hanged in there for aesthetics. Everything tells a history. A long dramatic description of Jesus into their lives.

Some of the guests of the Launching of Art de Triomphe

Madam Ford of Ford Academy of Arts Davao who
graced the event

Lessons from Art de Triomphe's Artists

“Arts is not just painting, colors, or what. It is a way of living, it is your way of life. “ Romeo, one of Art de Triomphe featured artists. He said he is always passionate about drawing when he is still a child. As he uses pens to create images on any blank papers he sees. He said that his parents, who inspire him, are the key to his success as an artist. And now that he is starting to build his own family, he is hopeful to bond with his future kids with arts.

"If the child shows talent and he shows his style. The support must be not limited to the materials but also the understanding of the passion and give them the freedom to discover what more they can do." Noby Juno Jr, one of the exhibit's featured artists.

"Arts depend from person to person. I have known a few people who discovered their talents, who discovered their skills when they are young, some are when they are in college or adulthood. For me, my exposure and my parents' support is one of the cores of continuing my passion." Gabrielle Macavinta featured industrial artists.

Invitation to the Public and Art Enthusiasts

The event is open to the public for one month. Great news to those people who wish to enjoy the crafts, plus some pieces are for sale!

You can visit Ma'am Bernadette's home. Located at Tulip Drive, Juna SubdivisionFront of DLPC Substation, Davao City. Just at least 5-10 minutes away from SM City Ecoland, Davao City.

Art de Triomphe offers art mentorship for all art enthusiasts for all ages.  (See poster below for more details.)

Thoughts to Ponder

Before the night ended, I realized that parents play a very important role in every child's talent. From discovering their potentials, guiding them and supporting them as well. Every child is unique so as every parent. Partnering your child in making them the person they want to be is not an easy task. But, giving them time and showing them that you are always there standing on their side when they lean on is the best thing that we can do.

How I wish to join this wonderful event again. I believe that "arts" is what the world was made. Each pattern, each connection we made through people or through non-living things, is definitely a craft made by God. Kristo 2020 is just one example of how Jesus Christ creates a part in our lives, these artists are only outlets of the great news that He is real, divine and existing.#

Until our next "art meet-up"!
Love and Courage,

What is an ideal home to warm you amidst the buzz and bustle of the city? Nice interior? Comfy beds? Wide windows? Or an overlooking view of the city lights?

Right in time, when the city is overflowing and blooming at its best, here comes  VisMin's leading house developer. Cebu Landmaster and the Villa-Abrille family, through the joint venture YHES Inc. paved its way to our city to build more "home goals" experience to every Davaoenios.

They toured us last week to their showroom located on the fourth floor of the Edge Building in Arellano Street corner Quirino Avenue in Poblacion, Davao City, The Paragon Davao showroom showcases modern tropical and coastal themed model studio and 1-bedroom units of One Paragon Place. The design of the former is infused with Davao elements in patterns and textures of materials.

The Paragon Davao showroom also showcases a model unit of Citadines Paragon Davao, whose vibrant and space-efficient design has a contemporary style fused with a local flavor, allowing residents to have a unique and unforgettable experience in the serviced residence.

“We are grateful for the opportunities made available by our partners to contribute to the economic growth of Davao City. The properties that we develop are designed to satisfy the evolving lifestyle of the Davaoenos and those from its neighboring cities,” says CLI president and chief executive officer Jose Soberano III

There are so many land developers that come out sporadically around the city. But one thing that Cebu Landmasters got me? They will give you the most generous housing plans you will ever see. It was said that they offer houses at 1.2 Million (total cost) with a clubhouse and a swimming pool inside the vicinity of the subdivision. That total cost can reach 5,000-6,000 monthly installments. Such regular pricing for a strategic and productive location.

Some facts to share are the following :
  1. The Paragon Davao is Cebu Landmasters’ fourth mixed-use property in Visayas and Mindanao and is conceptualized and designed by Callison RTKL in collaboration with top architectural firm RMDA. (This one is so true! You can really say that it was made with the most exquisite hands, and blueprints are well made!)
  2. Cebu Landmasters and the Villa-Abrille family’s partnership include the development of the 22-hectare Davao Global Township located in Matina district and the two-tower MesaTierra Garden Residences. (I heard that they are really into developing more residential properties! And that is more families to serve the best homes!)
I can't wait to see how beautiful our city can be soon.  And I can't wait to hear your experience when you visit The Paragon Davao Showroom!

The showroom is open Mondays to Fridays from 9AM to 6PM, and on Saturdays from 9AM to 12noon.

My Childhood and Our Practice of Good Dental Hygiene

Growing up under the roof of a military father, dental hygiene has been my Papa's strong advocacy at home. We were taught to brush our teeth every morning, after eating and before going to sleep. I even joined dental campaigns from the military camps and even in our school.

I grow up having healthy gums and teeth. But as time goes by, and I grow older, the food I eat and the drinks I enjoy seems to affect my teeth's color, strength, and the health of my gums. And motherhood came, the least I expected is the time I met Oral B.

Speaking around the community of mothers, traveling and little too long conversations during business meetings and friendly talks require me to have not only clean teeth but also great dental hygiene. We always know how toothpaste brands run through media and promote fresh breath, whiter teeth and all. But, what we need now is a brand that does not only clean but also keeps your teeth to gums healthy.

What major facts make Gum and Enamel Repair toothpaste on top of the list?

  1. Oral-B's Gum and Enamel Repair toothpaste has unique ActivRepairTM technology, clinically proven to neutralize bacteria on the gum line, and even keep it away afterward, too.
  2.  It also repairs the damage caused to your tooth enamel by everyday wear and tear and continues to protect it afterward.
  3. Not only that first two above, but it also helps do all this in just two weeks.
  4. Unlike common fluoride kinds of toothpaste, Oral-B Gum and Enamel Repair is made with Stabilized Stannous Fluoride Complex.
Oral-B® is the worldwide leader in the over $5 billion brushing market. Part of the Procter & Gamble Company, the brand provides manual and electric toothbrushes for children and adults, oral irrigators and interdental products, such as dental floss.

Facts for A Good Dental Hygiene

  1. Dental experts recommend brushing your teeth three times a day or after every meal and visiting a professional for a dental cleaning at least twice a year. We, moms, must take note of this. Not only for our children but we need to check our dental health always!
  2. The right ways to brush your teeth. At home, the right way to brush your teeth and gums is for two minutes long in a soft and circular motion
  3. The right toothbrush. Toothbrushes must be right according to age as we may do harm to our gums and teeth when we are using a too big, too hard bristles or even low-quality bristles!
Unlike regular toothbrushes in the market, Oral-B’s toothbrushes are made with crisscross bristles that remove 90% more plaque even in hard-to-reach areas. With the rise in popularity of detoxifying properties of charcoal in the health and beauty industries, Oral- B has harnessed its power and learned to infuse it in their Charcoal White toothbrush to help whiten your teeth in just two weeks!
  4. The Additional Care we must know. Dental floss is also an essential dental care step to remove plaque from tight spaces between teeth and gums. This prevents both bacteria and plaque buildup from forming, which can potentially lead to cavities, sensitive teeth, and gum disease. Oral-B Glide Floss is lightly coated with natural wax that makes it strong, smoothly gliding, and is perfect for people with sensitive gums. It is also made from a single filament, which means it never shreds, and leaves you with a cool and clean feeling afterward.
  5. Teach a child. A parent must know that teaching your child at a very young age is very important. Based on my experience, my parents educated me a lot about hygiene. And it becomes a habit-forming activity.
Having a great smile on the camera is good, but being proud that you got a healthier option there is a great idea.

"Ma, gusto ko mag-kape!"
Have you ever wondered how I was coffee-drunk every exam way back college days? Or let us break it into these words, "How coffee-fueled me survive those days?"

This is the real me. Coffee drunk Accountancy-Blogger student paving its way every 5:30 AM just to get into the school bus for a free ride. I can survive a day without a meal. But, I can't function well without a coffee. (Wag gayahin haha)

I believe that I have tasted more than 50 kinds of coffee LOL. And maybe my opinions can be considered as a legit review. If I say, "it's good", "it's okay" and "I'll be back tonight for another cup."I can prove you that I am telling some honest reviews (LOL)
Becoming a mother is my coffee-blood's heartache. Imagine that I have not sipped even just a few milliliters for NINE MONTHS during my pregnancy. I have never wanted a mug of coffee just like how I wanted a few hours after I gave birth to Nana.

A SIP OF BO's COFFEE's HISTORY

( from the left) Mr and Mrs Liu Mr Jose Villa Abrille Llamas and Mr Steve Benitez Benitez

Steve Benitez, the man behind the entire concept, the one who managed their family-run Ric's Barbecue in Cebu City. The first-ever Bo's Coffee was opened in June 1996 with a small space in Ayala Center Cebu. After 8 months of success, it had expanded to a coffee cart in SM City, Cebu. For the record, last December 2018, they already grew up to 103 stores nationwide including a branch in Doha, Qatar. They vision up to 200 stores serving nationwide for the next two to three years and that includes four from Doha, Qatar.

DAVAO's COFFEE BUSINESS BLOOMING

As I watch this city growing, it has become a melting pot of businesses and investors. And what makes me exciting are the coffee shops making its way to this peaceful urban city.

One of this coffee shops I want to invite you and sit with me is the newest branch of Bo's Coffee.
Located inside one of the city's most popular subdivisions, Bo's Coffee's new baby is strategically located at The Compound, Tulip Drive, Juna Subdivision Davao City.

What makes this branch different and a must-visit shop?

Well... I am giving you some beautiful points to consider chilling and having conversation is best here.

LOOK AT THOSE CEILINGS!
  • The interior design is 100% AWESOME. I promise you, ladies and gentlemen. This place is aesthetic and something to be proud of. Why? The ceiling, walls, fixtures, and furniture depict the Davao Region and some of its symbolism.
  • Their coffee are produced from different regions here in our country. Coffee tastes like heaven to me, and this cafe gives me Cloud 9. (Oh that is not an exaggeration!)

  • So, what happens if their coffee beans are sourced out from the localities? This shows the beans are from the local growers, local farmers and they are FILIPINOS!
  • AND TRIVIA: THEY ARE SERVING YOU DELICIOUS BREAKFAST MEALS! Why not pair your fresh brewed coffee with a platter of eggs, bacon and toasted bread! (I am hungry while writing this hahaha) PLUS PASTA AND MANY MORE!! ( You must Visit!!)

THE LATEST COFFEE SHOP UNVEILS

Ms Samantha Liu, franchisee of Bo's Coffee

Ms. Samantha Liu is the franchisee of this specific branch here in Davao City. I remembered that one branch in Dumaguete is under renovation to serve the Dumaguetenos better. And guess what? SHE OWNS THAT BRANCH TOO.

With the help of his Husband, the power couple cheers up for another exciting adventure to get on.
I was so amazed how a business builds a good bond between families especially couples. It is necessary to get intimate ideas from someone who cares for you the most and that is what I witnessed from them.

The personalization of the cafe to match up the locals and the visitors to the city is well-targeted. Along with their staff and crew, they happily showed us how they brew their coffee. It takes patience and dexterity. They showcased the Mt Apo and Sagada Beans!

REVIEW: "I'LL BE BACK FOR ANOTHER CUP!"

BOTTOMLINE

Just like us, moms tend to juggle work and motherhood. All we need is to brew this together correctly and "VOILA!" Giving ourselves some mommy meetups and mommy get together is not wrong. In fact, we needed it. Maybe a cup of coffee and a sit-down talk with your mommy friends is what you need today.

Maybe you can drop me some message and we'll see each other on a table with your favorite brew.

Love and coffee-loving,

Mommybabe
