The Mommybabe Show

Above is my photo preparing coffee for my husband. OH! I forgot, I only had myself from the very start.

Hey Loves! Welcome to The Mommybabe Show!

Today we are going to tackle how Stay-At-home-Moms became Super WAHMs (worked-at-home moms). I am the proof that you can do so much more even you are at home. And here I am, going to share some useful tips to own that online job or to earn money from home.
STARTER PACK (LOL)
  1. INTERNET KONEKSYAN (kidding, its internet connection). Whether its a pocket wifi, a wired connection or wifi or just your mobile data, as long as it can sustain your work without any backlogs. Always consider your capability to pay for your internet connection. It is hard just to let yourself start on a wired connection which is expensive, and not going to spend the monthly bills. You know, as a mom, we have to make our budget the top priority. Hahaha (sorry I am laughing while making this blog hahaha!)Image result for pocket wifi
  2. UNIT! LAPTOP OR DESKTOP? WHICH IS WHICH?  The first thing to consider is, "What kind of work are you aiming for? Virtual Assistance? Listings? Online Teaching?"
Sometimes employers or companies are strict in requiring what kind of unit their applicant is using. The heavier the work is, the more chance the company is needing a functional unit for you. Jobs like online teaching (51 Talk, Acadsoc, etc.) require a good headset, good camera, and wired connection. This means more investments for you and likely, expenses in your ends.  I am so lucky that my company is not that strict. I love working with them. The headset is not required, and the cam is not needed too. Only an excellent working computer is necessary. Laptop sellers are very flexible nowadays. If you want to pay it by installment, there are lots of credit company that welcomes you. I bought my Laptop (DELL Inspiron 3000 Series) in cash. Free mouse, free headset and a flash drive. Plus the cash discount!!! Image result for laptop dell inspiron 14
  3. TIME. Are you willing to work for 8 hours? Or just 3-4 hours? Night shift? DayShift? Graveyard shift? As a mother of a toddler, I am so clear during my job interview. That I am a mom and can only work "part of my day". My family always comes first. And I do have a toddler, dogs, online shop and a household to manage at the same time. Luckily, I am into a company which is family oriented and most of all, concerned enough to me. Always be honest to any company that you are planning to get in. Always explain with such pride that you are a mom. Know what time kids can play on the living so you can focus on working. Check your schedule for the interview, arrange the time considering kids can be on their "behave mode" (there is no such thing, but we can imagine hahaha). Can you work at night time after a long day of household chores? Can you work in the morning while prepping kids for school? Always check your availability.Image result for mommy time quotes
  4. PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPACITY. Well, this is something serious. If you are just pressured to have a job to support your family and you just gave birth. PLEASE!!! Think again. Post-Partum Blues, Mood Swings are killers. They can progress to Post-partum depression. Have your health get back to its standard. Always believe that -HEALTH IS WEALTH. Working at home also includes stress and too much pressure too. If you can't handle all of the weight at this point, you can delay everything else and prioritize your child/children.Image result for postpartum depression
  5. Research shows " Postpartum depression is indeed a universal dilemma.
In this study, it was noted the prevalence of postpartum depression among mothers who delivered in a tertiary hospital in Dasmariñas, Cavite from April to May 2013 is 22.61%.
It was noted that majority of those who have postpartum depression were 18-35 years of age, married, unemployed, primiparous, and delivered vaginally to a full term baby boy and were mixed feeding their babies" Always remember that you can be SUPER but not a ROBOT.
  6. PASSION. Why do you want to be an online teacher? Aside from the extra income to the family, what are those factors in choosing the right online job for you? If you want writing, then do blogging, copywriting and content writing. If you love working on numbers, you can do accounting online! Yes, they have! Always do things that can make you happy. Things that can build the "better you"! As much as possible you have to do things according to your passion and your interest. Earning while enjoying your tasks is one of kind luck. If you love your job, you will never go to work all your life. <3 Always be happy and see the bright side. <3currency of happiness.jpg

  • That's it, Moms! Always remember that Jesus died for you! Never waste time thinking of giving up.
Love.

UGH MAZING! Tricia Mae Lim <3 Lacto Mom OFFICIALLY open for website carting!

Lacto MomI was so thrilled when I heard from their Facebook page that they are catering more mode of payments. Example of this MOP is PAYPAL.

As a worked-at-home mom, my salary processes through Paypal and sometimes, few customers (who are WAHMs too) opt to pay me through Paypal too.

This kind of business innovation just came in the time of my crazy loaded schedules(work, business, and mom life).
Gathering all things up. Household chores, kiddie stuff and all of the things that we can tag as "Mommy Tasks," doing it 24/6 ALL BY MYSELF.
I'm not kidding anyone here. LOL

"Nationwide Oplan Alis Kuto"

I learned more of  personal hygiene.

Ngayong isa na akong Ina at babae pa ang mga anak ko , I will make sure na they will grow up na tidy . I believe na cleanliness is next to Godliness, see? My daughter loves playing under the sun, loves the beach so much and making friends. For us girls, hair is important. Beautiful and healthy hair can make us feel pretty and comfortable.
Today, we joined Licealiz Activation here in Davao City at  Don Juan Dela Cruz Central Elementary School, Daliao, Toril.
They also invited students as well as parents to join the activity. The event comprises of lots of helpful information, loots and actual demonstration of the products.

Not too late for September's Head Lice Prevention Month!

Let me share some infos na natutunan ko during the event :

  1. Ang mga kuto natatransmit sa unan, higaan, upuan , suklay at iba pang means na may physical contact, lalo na sa buhok natin.
  2. 100 Eggs turns to be 1 Kuto. OMG !!!
  3. The heat of the sun causes sweat and dirt accumulation ang nagti-trigger para sa build up ng headlice.
  4. Based sa survey, children ages 10-15 (or less) ang may mataas na rate sa pagkakaroon ng kuto.
  5. Headlice feeds on your head through sucking blood. Therefore, it is a PARASITE.
  6. They can live 3 days na wala sa hair or ulo mo. Ibig sabihin, if one person who was infested with the parasite tapos magpapahiram ng cap to another person in just the same day, there is a big possibility na ma-acquire ng second person ang mga kuto.
During the event nabanggit ang mga procedures to make the shampoo effectively use, iba pa rin po ang sumusunod sa instructions.

Easy steps and surely will help you and your kids to have a cleaner and healthy hair. Isa din sa disturbance sa pag-aaral ang pagkakamot while studying. Me, noong nasa graders pa ako, nakakawala sa concentration ang halos minu-minutong kamot. Sabayan pa ng mga kaklase mong ibubully ka.
Having a good hygiene like cleansing our hair every day will not just prevent us from head lice,  but also building "SELF CONFIDENCE" in ourselves. Charot! English na yan ha!
Let us start the practice of cleanliness within ourselves and train our children to be a responsible caretaker of their body.

Out of my desperation to go outside from the four corners of our home, I decided to search "Parenting Hacks".

Sounds unusual, but behind my independent lifestyle, modern co-parenting and all things that sort of being a different and brave woman, believe me when I tell that I am just a normal "praning" Mommy. I easily get paranoid whenever I am out and plans to leave my daughter to my mother. That time, I felt frustrated and sad, knowing I can never do things that I normally do before way back those days that I am still single or pregnant.
The internet offers us lots of resources we can pull out. We are living in this digital world wherein everything we need will never be out of reach.
I search lots of "baby carriers", safe babywearing and everything that I believe can help me with my research. I found the keyword "recommended carrier". I seek more and found lots of infographics.
I joined a group which is a Davao Based that is composed of mothers like me. Then I found out a mom that sells preloved carrier. She taught me how to use it. Eventually, we became friends.
My daughter is just less than a year since we started babywearing. The easy access to breastfeeding, the comfortability that it brings to me and security to my child is my topmost priority. With babywearing, every errand runs smooth.
We travel a lot even before kids. Now, our itinerary plans upgraded into something special.
As my child grows, I have learned that the crucial stage of a growing child which is her "toddlerhood" demands more time and attention. So this means, her weight and her age is not a reason to stop wearing my child. In fact, for me,  this phase requires more cuddles, more attention, and more hugs. This growing child needs a lot more time to babywear. Not just for a mom's sanity to stay out from trouble, but to give your little one the love and attention they needed.
DaWoW Moms, a community of moms which I discovered online is the reason I am here. Their dedication to Attachment and Natural Parenting is beyond the basics. This group is indeed a foundation of what I am as a parent right now.

“Days may come and my child will outgrow my carriers, but this would not stop me from sharing my knowledge and love for other mothers. I believe that discovering babywearing and knowing a lot of mothers who are on the same course is a destiny. And the purpose of this fate is to keep the legacy and pass it to the next generations of mothers. “

Pregnancy and motherhood are one of the TOUGHEST jobs a woman could ever experience in her lifetime. Aside from those belly rocking waist, you can't deny the rapid changes of skin and discolouration especially on the face.

Why spend a lot to such treatment when you can do a simple regimen at home? A dermatologically tested and proven product to use? Why not?

As a mom of two, it is very tiring and expensive for me to pay bucks for a single session of derma treatments. As far as I know, there could be more than one session to finish the whole treatment. IMAGINE THAT?

So, I have been introduced to this product, and at first glance, I may seem to doubt, and I made some researches of reviews of the users.
MOM EDITION TIPS!

These are few of the factors to consider on choosing your skincare products to use :
  • TIME. Does it take more time than feeding your child?
  • PRICE. Too pricey? Too cheap? Think again.
  • CONTENT. Research the name of the product and look for the SIGNS (i.e. mercury content)
  • LABELS. If it is distributed in your country, be sure that the product has its version of your language or at least English language. Example: How can you read the manual/directions if it's written in Thai?
  • SCENT. Smells like heaven or hell? I basically love the smell of beauty soaps. If the product you have been eyeing smells like something you don't want to put on your face, back out!
  • AGENTS. Always buy from the nearest LEGAL and AUTHORIZED sellers. Counterfeit items may look the same to the original products, but it may harm you, and worse is your healthy skin.
After a very long search of good beauty products that could fit in my lifestyle, a friend recommended me something I did not expect to discover.

Meet "Beautederm", my savvy skin kit. You know, I am not that regimen kind of girl. But these products bring curiosity to me. Before using, I made researches for reviews and content. And it was all perfect!
The Papain Soap do have this very juicy smell. The toner cleans and tightens pores that you can even feel the fresh feeling. The set of creams soothe the skin. How I love this.

Basically, just like all beauty regimens, it is normal to experience redness, itchiness and peeling. In Filipino , this is what we call "Tiis Ganda". Few days , your skin will become dewy, dead skins will fell off and the lighter and younger skin comes out!
And Magic! Beautiful , Younger Looking skin!

For more than two weeks of using this, the skin will continue rebuilding and glows up.
Why not try it your own? Moms deserve to experience this beauty too! It is time to take care of yourself, to feel beautiful inside and out!

Visit the nearest Beautederm Agent Now! Women of Davao can avail this from Creams and Crafts Boutique , Tionko Arcade (in between Penong Bajada and NBI XI) stall beside JRS Bajada Branch. 💕
